Browse our recommendations for the season
This time last year—well, suffice it to say, we were cold. Sooo cold. Bundled head to toe, swathed in base layers and long-johns, hand warmers clutched in our fingerless mittens, teeth chattering beneath our face masks as we dispensed books from tables set up outside the store. So the word “warm” is going to be used a lot here. As in, we are so warmly appreciative of everyone who came out into the cold last winter to get books from us, or who ordered books to be delivered, so that we could keep going. As in, it warms our hearts to see people back in the store. As in, it warms our souls to have so many very good books to sell, many of which were postponed mid-pandemic but were well worth the wait. To be sure, some of the books we would love to have in stock are warming their spines on container ships in the South Pacific, but our shelves are still full and our tables (All inside! Where it’s warm!) are still stacked high with books for children and adults we are so warmly proud to sell.
With best wishes for a safe, healthy and warm Holiday season.
